The effect of exocomet impacts on exoplanetary atmospheres

I will discuss how impacts from comets, asteroids and planetesimals will modify terrestrial planet type atmospheres. Specifically I will show that small planetesimal-sized impactors can be very efficient in eroding planetary atmospheres but that they can also significantly contribute to the volatile budget of a given planet depending on their chemical composition. Finally, I will discuss possible scenarios that allow for a steady state of atmospheric loss and volatile delivery by small impactors that maybe achieved in some exoplanet systems.
